Was there a known sex offender in your cong that was disfellowshipped? If so, your elder warned you that you can get in trouble for gossiping but they will go out of their way and protect the pedophiles.

The elder that compared oral sex to a toliet probably likes having his toliet licked.

Well, Princess Ashe, the song YMCA is an old song sung by the Village People who were all gay. And the song is how much fun it is to stay at the Y.M.C.A. which stands for " Young Men's Christian Association"- so the elder didn't want you or anyone else to be influenced by Satan. Oh, that's not really true. It's just that the WTS hates gay people and hates any organization that claims to be Christian- except themselves- Oh and also they protect pedophiles.

Cataloging the damage of the Watchower in my life

1. jehovah's witnesses interferance in my parents marriage leading to mother rejecting father who could not come at the teachings.. 2. my mother taking us 500km away from father to start a new life with a much older jw man just after armageddon didnt come in 75...for teaching us that he was evil and deserved to be killed by god.. 3. bullying at school for being a jw, resulting in only one friend all through school and learning little social interaction.

leading to leaving early with no education beyond year 10.. 4. marrying way to young for love?....

5. making me feel like a demon for being human.. 6. rejection by all friends and wife because i couldn't stick it.. 7. not going back to wife because of rejection, nervous breakdown by freeing wife and believing i was now doomed to die.. 8. almost leaving my childrens lives by both suicide and disapearing.. 9. wifes support by wt to force me out of their lives and for coaching her to do this.

Aussie Oz- It's sad and amazing to read the effect the cult had on your family. The horrible truth cannot be denied when it's in black and white, there for the world to see. To write and to share it, I think is a good step in the way of healing. I am sorry for all you have suffered.

i could have called this "fee now charged to go to circuit assembly" but i do not want to start rumours that go beyond what was actually said.

the k hall announcement encouraged attendance at the upcoming assembly day.

the elder then said that since the congregation no longer has to make a blanket donation to the assembly hall it is expected that the publishers remember their responsibility to maintain the costs.

Terry, I'm so sorry for the pain you are suffering.You should not have to suffer through all that pain And must let them know you need something stronger- like a morphine drip!!! Also, like Nathan Natas pointed out- you may need to be on an anti-fungal- if they haven't put you on one already.

A sure sign the End is Near....

the end of the month, that is, and someone apparently needs to get their hours in.... this resourceful jw (in the left side of the photo) set up shop for a few hours outside a local starbucks, with a wt and awake laid out on a table.

and i i don't think he talked to anyone the whole time he was out there (a few hours).. sure beats all that walking from door-to-door, which would likely result in a bunch of not-at-homes on a weekday: most people are at work.. (i approached him when entering, and asked him about the parable of faithful and "discreet" slave, and asked him what he thought the difference was between a parable and prophecy.

after getting a non-answer (that basically meant he didn't know), i wished him a good morning and went on my way.... .
